Kilroy Divests Assests, Land to HCP for $49 Million

An affiliate of the Irvine, CA-based HCP has brought a life science campus portfolio from Kilroy Corp for $49 million.  The deal included two industrial properties totaling nearly 135,000 square feet, as well as a 7 acre land parcel.  The acquired properties span nearly 18.6 acres, and are made of up two research and development buildings that were constructed in 2002 at 4939 and 4955 Directors Place.  The land parcel is located at 4930 Directors Place.

HCP is a publicly traded company, and its holdings (in San Diego) include, the General Atomics Life Science Building (Poway), and the Brookdale Carlsbad senior housing facility.
